Environmental and Community Noise Assessments
The Pulsar 30 is a Type 1 Integrating
Sound Level Meter that comes complete with the parameters
that are used for most environmental noise surveys, such as:
- A weighted Leq (or LAeq,t)
- L90, the level exceeded for 90% of the time, or the background
noise
- Other Ln parameters, programmable
- LAmax, the maximum sound level
Many other parameters are available with different frequency
weightings and time responses, but those listed above are
the main ones used in most European environmental noise
surveys.

The Analyzer Software can
be used to download standard measurements from the Pulsar 30 Sound
Level Meter and to produce reports. However, when a more detailed
or customised report is needed, the Capture Studio software is also
included.
